Will Ferrell is Grateful and Uninjured After Car Wreck {VIDEO}

America’s favorite funnyman Will Ferrell had luck on his side lucky last Thursday night after being involved in a car wreck that left two others injured. Ferrell’s representatives  from United Talent Agency released a statement saying

“While traveling back to Los Angeles after hosting a voter registration event in San Diego, a car carrying Will Ferrell and three of his colleagues was struck on the freeway by another vehicle.”

Ferrell and another passenger were “unhurt” and released from an Orange County hospital according to United Talent. Mark Thompson, Ferrell’s longtime driver, and his passenger  Carolina Barlow remain hospitalized, both are in stable condition the statement continued. The statement from United  Talent went on to say that  Will was

 “staying close by as his friends are being treated, and has expressed his deep gratitude to the first responders who were immediately at the scene and to the hospital team that took such great care of them.”

Ferrell was a passenger in an SUV that actually overturned during a two-car accident late Thursday in Orange County California according to the accident report from the California Highway Patrol. According to said report, Ferrell’s vehicle was struck by another car that veered into Ferrell’s lane of traffic. Ferrell’s SUV then struck the center median and then overturned. Ferrell was on his way home following a Funny or Die event called Glam Up the Midterms that went down in San Diego. Ferrell made an appearance as his iconic Ron Burgandy character from the Anchorman franchise. Ferrell appeared as Ron Burgandy alongside Bill Eichner who hosted the event.

The statement from Ferrell’s representatives added that the actor is

“grateful for all the well wishes he and his friends are receiving.”
